Under Construction
These are hard times for the artists and art dealers in Santa Barbara ... but much worse for those who are less fortunate. Right now there are lots of problems and not so many solutions. In that situation, ART HELPS. When we are focused on the difficulties of the day and need something lifting to focus on, ART HELPS. For those who are less fortunate - with a little planning, ART HELPS. In fact for just about everyone, ART HELPS.
This 1st Thursday’s item is rice and beans. The art-going community and friends of the Unity Shoppe are asked to bring a new, unopened package of rice and a can of beans to a participating gallery. In return for this donation, each participant will receive a campaign button signaling membership in the ART HELPS program. On 1st Thursdays, ART HELPS participants will receive a discount on any purchase of art that they make that evening. Participating galleries will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Unity Shoppe from each sale to a member of the ART HELPS program.
